Safeguarding

The safeguarding of children and young people is our top priority. Our work follows policies and procedures that include how we vet our staff, how we work with young people individually and in groups, how we respond to concerns, allegations and complaints, and how we promote an ethos where whistle-blowing is an accepted aspect of safeguarding practice. Our policies also demonstrate how we work in partnership with local authority LADOs and Local Police Authorities to keep children and young people safe and how we follow the procedures of local safeguarding boards. Managing risk is a fundamental aspect of all of our services to children and young people, and processes for risk assessment and for minimising risk are present across all of our work.

Children and Young people will be listened to by our qualified staff, who are provided with training and guidance in listening, recording and reporting on children’s concerns, complaints or allegations.

All our staff are subject to regular enhanced checks with the Disclosure and Barring Service.

See our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy for further information. (See Child Protection Policy 2024)
