Burstow Park School

Health & Safety

WHAT ABOUT HEALTH AND SAFETY FOR PUPILS?

The school is committed to following the law in respect of Health and Safety and in keeping children safe.    Our Health and Safety procedures will be explained at induction; these will include fire evacuation and emergency meeting points, educational and offsite visits, serious incident/disaster plan and a full risk assessment for each child.

Burstow Park School is committed to following Surrey Safer Recruitment vetting and whistle-blowing policies.  All our staff have an enhanced DBS certificate.  School staff routinely undertake Team Teach training, including Control and Restraint techniques, where the law allows, which are used as a last resort.

Children are supervised in classes and during breaktimes.  However, please note that we are not a ‘secure’ site.
