Mobile Devices
CAN MOBILE PHONES & PORTABLE DEVICES BE USED IN SCHOOL?
Personal phones, iPads, tablets and other electronic media devices are completely forbidden in school. This rule is strictly enforced. Mobile phones found to be in school will be confiscated under sections 91 and 94 of the Education and Inspections Act 2006.
Mobile phones and devices can be placed into the pupil’s locker.
Confiscated mobile phones will be securely stored in the school office, until they are collected by the pupil’s parent/carer. Phones will not be returned to home via the post and will need to be collected in person.
Any young person or parent/carer with attachment difficulties should be reassured that a parent/carer can access the child via the school landline number. See our Mobile Phone Policy for full details.
