Missed Schooling

CONCERNS IF YOUR CHILD HAS PREVIOUSLY MISSED A LOT OF SCHOOL

Depending on numbers, age ranges and needs in school, there will be between 2 and 5 pupils in each class/group.  Pupils will be placed in the most appropriate group, taking into consideration age, gaps in learning, characteristics and any social vulnerability.  We have Adolescent Nurture groups and a Blended Learning pathway, which can be accessed as appropriate by every child.

It is absolutely normal and, indeed, usual for children at Burstow Park School to have missed several terms and even school years.  Please do not worry about this.  This is what makes Burstow Park so special; with our small class groups, our dedicated, patient staff and your child’s guided transition, we will help them to catch up.
